Heat Warning in effect for:
- Innisfil – New Tecumseth Angus
- Orangeville-Grand Valley-Southern Dufferin County
- Shelburne-Mansfield-Northern Dufferin County
Today’s heat wave continues for two days.
Today’s maximum temperatures will be in the lower thirties.
The heat will not be relieved by the minimum temperatures this morning or tonight, which are expected to reach the mid-twenties.
On Thursday, cooler air will arrive.
Also, hot and humid conditions can lead to deterioration in air quality. This can cause the Air Quality Health Index to reach the highest risk category.
Young children, pregnant mothers, seniors, those with chronic diseases, and anyone who works or exercises outdoors are at greater risk.
Do not leave pets or people in a vehicle that is parked.
Cool, light foods are best when it is hot.
It is important for outdoor workers to take regular breaks at a cool location.
