The sudden departure of CAO Jason Reynar absent any comment about his performance as city manager in Windsor is in my opinion due to his coming from a smaller municipality — the town of Innisfil — which has a population of 36,000. That compares to Windsor with a population of 233,763.

A town of that size would not have the complete range of services as a much larger municipality like Windsor.
The good news is former CAO Onorio Colucci is coming back in June to fill the position temporarily.
It is to be hoped council will eventually fill the position either from within current city administration or with a candidate with similar experience equivalent to Colucci.
He filled the position previously by competently maintaining a good relationship with council, having a broad knowledge of the many activities carried out by the city and being responsive to the needs and issues of taxpayers.
